What is Strategic Enrollment Management?
" a comprehensive process designed to help an institution achieve and maintain the optimum recruitment, retention and graduation rates of students, where optimum is defined in the academic context of the institution " (Dolence, 1993).
Getting students through the door is the main function of the admissions office and an important component of enrollment management but is just the beginning. As we continue to see the number of small private universities closing, you will see more attention placed on the front end. Are the plans strategic or reactive? What's missing?
